MG S6 Set to Rival Top EV SUVs in Nepal, Launch Expected in May

Morris Garages (MG) is set to expand its electric lineup in Nepal with the upcoming ‘S6’ SUV. The brand’s official distributor, Paramount Motors, plans to begin sales from May 2026.

According to sources, the MG S6 has already been shipped from China and is expected to arrive in Nepal within the next three weeks.

The new electric SUV will directly compete with models like the BYD Sealion 7, Deepal S07, and Leapmotor C10, which are currently priced between 65 lakh and 80 lakh in the Nepali market.

Dimensions and Space

The MG S6 measures 4,708 mm in length, 1,912 mm in width, and 1,672 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,835 mm. It offers a 674-liter boot space.

In comparison, the BYD Sealion 7 gets a 520-liter boot, Deepal S07 offers 570 liters, and Leapmotor C10 provides 581 liters—giving the S6 an advantage in cargo capacity.

Battery and Range

The MG S6 is equipped with a 75 kWh LFP battery, delivering a WLTP-certified range of up to 530 km.

Rivals offer comparatively lower range figures, with Deepal S07 at around 410 km, BYD Sealion 7 at 440 km, and Leapmotor C10 at 420 km.

Motor and Performance

MG has not officially revealed motor specifications for Nepal. However, it is expected to come with either a 99 kW or 109 kW motor.

Among competitors, the Leapmotor C10 features a 160 kW motor, while the BYD Sealion 7 and Deepal S07 come with 100 kW and 99 kW motors respectively.

Price

Among current rivals, the BYD Sealion 7 is priced at 79.99 lakh, the Deepal S07 at 74.99 lakh, and the Leapmotor C10 at 72 lakh.

The MG S6 is expected to be priced more competitively, likely around 65 lakh in Nepal.

For reference, MG’s existing premium electric SUV, the IM6, is priced at around 74.99 lakh in Nepal , suggesting the S6 could be positioned below it.

With a combination of higher claimed range, larger boot space, and aggressive pricing, the MG S6 is expected to emerge as a strong contender in Nepal’s mid-size electric SUV segment.
