The all-new Aprilia SR 175 is expected to hit the market in just a few days, replacing the outgoing SR 160 with a more powerful engine and a range of feature upgrades. The company has confirmed that the new model will be named SR 175 and will be launched initially in India.
According to various reports, the SR 175 has already reached Aprilia’s dealer network in India, indicating that its official sales are just around the corner.
The SR 175 is being introduced as a successor to the Aprilia SR 160 and is expected to be priced at INR 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). For comparison, the SR 160 is currently priced at INR 1.32 lakh.
Powering the Aprilia SR 175 is a 174.7cc single-cylinder engine that produces 12.92 bhp of power and 14.14 Nm of torque. This marks a noticeable improvement over the SR 160 and is likely to offer a more spirited riding experience.
In terms of hardware, the SR 175 retains much of the chassis, frame, suspension, and braking components from the SR 160. However, it does come with a key safety upgrade—single-channel ABS, ensuring better control and safer braking.
A major highlight of the SR 175 is the TFT digital display borrowed from the Aprilia Tuono 450. This screen supports Bluetooth connectivity, bringing added tech appeal to Aprilia’s sporty scooter lineup.
With its enhanced engine, advanced features, and signature Italian styling, the Aprilia SR 175 is poised to be a strong contender in the premium scooter segment once it goes on sale. Stay tuned to NepalShowroom.com for updates on its availability in the Nepali market.
