Samsung’s long-awaited Galaxy Z Fold7 is now up for pre-order in Nepal from August 7 to 14, with an expected starting price of Rs. 2,49,999 for the 12/256GB variant. The official launch is set for August 15, 2025.
Big Changes, Slimmer Package
After falling behind rivals like Honor and Vivo in the foldables race, Samsung is back in the game with a major redesign. The Fold7 is 10% lighter and up to 27% thinner than its predecessor, thanks to a tougher Armor Aluminum frame and 50% thicker Ultra-Thin Glass.
While it ditches S-Pen support, the new Fold compensates with bigger and brighter displays (6.5″ cover and 8″ inner) boasting 120Hz refresh rates and 2,600 nits peak brightness.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, the Fold7 comes in three variants:
- 12/256GB – Expected Rs. 2,49,999
- 12/512GB – Expected Rs. 2,64,999
- 16GB/1TB – Expected Rs. 2,99,999
The battery remains at 4,400mAh with 25W wired, 15W wireless, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging a bit underwhelming given its price point. Still, the phone runs Android 16 with One UI 8, and Samsung promises 7 years of software and security updates, plus quantum-resistant encryption for next-level security.
Cameras: A Mixed Bag
The Fold7 finally gets the 200MP main camera from the S25 Ultra, a big step up. The inner selfie cam is now a standard 10MP punch-hole, replacing the awkward under-display one. However, it keeps the same 12MP ultrawide and 10MP 3x telephoto, which feel a bit behind the periscope setups in Chinese foldables.
Despite charging less battery-wise and lagging behind in camera innovation, the Fold7 is a clear win in Nepal mainly because competitors like Honor and Vivo haven’t entered the foldable market here. With a proper flagship build, global-level software support, and solid upgrades, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is Samsung’s best foldable yet and maybe the only one that matters in the Nepali market.
