MG EVs Now Backed by Nepal’s Longest-Ever 15-Year Warranty

Paramount Motors raises the bar for electric vehicle ownership confidence in Nepal

Buyers of MG electric vehicles in Nepal are now entitled to the country’s longest-ever extended warranty coverage – a full 15 years – announced by Paramount Motors, the authorised distributor of MG electric cars in Nepal.

The 15-year extended warranty program marks a significant milestone in Nepal’s growing EV market, surpassing the previous industry benchmark of 11 years that several other automakers had been offering.

Under the new warranty scheme, customers will receive coverage on the motor and battery for up to 15 years or 2,00,000 kilometres, whichever comes first – giving EV buyers an unprecedented level of ownership assurance.

Paramount Motors currently retails MG’s electric vehicle lineup in the Nepali market, which includes models such as the MG S5 and MG 4.

The move is widely seen as a strategic push to boost consumer confidence in electric mobility at a time when EV adoption in Nepal is accelerating. Extended battery and motor warranties have long been a key concern for prospective EV buyers, and Paramount Motors’ announcement directly addresses that hesitation.

With this development, MG Nepal sets a new industry standard – and puts pressure on rival brands to match the offer.
