Dongfeng Nammi Vigo Gets Rs 5 Lakh Price Cut, Now Available at Rs 35.99 Lakh

Dongfeng Nammi’s popular electric SUV, the Nammi Vigo, is now available at a lower price in Nepal. MAW Vriddhi Motors, the authorized distributor of Dongfeng Nammi in Nepal, has started sales of the new Vigo E2 variant at an introductory price of Rs 35.99 lakh.

The new price is applicable during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo. After the expo, the price will increase to Rs 37.99 lakh, according to the company.

The new Vigo E2 is Rs 5 lakh cheaper than the previously available base variant, which was priced at Rs 40.99 lakh. Meanwhile, the Vigo E2 Plus was previously available for Rs 43.99 lakh.

The latest Vigo has been introduced as a more practical SUV, with the company removing the sunroof to bring down the price. Other features and specifications remain largely unchanged.

The Nammi Vigo is available with 51.87 kWh battery. They offer claimed WLTP ranges of 350 km. The SUV supports DC fast charging of up to 167 kW.

The Vigo comes with multiple climate-control modes, including Navigation, Rest and Snow modes. It also supports voice control for operating vehicle and smartphone functions.

Inside, the SUV features a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 8.8-inch information display, along with a 360-degree camera. Other convenience features include a 50W wireless charger, one-touch rear seat folding and front seats that can be reclined flat to create a bed-like setup.

The Nammi Vigo also gets several segment-first features, including welcome and memory seats, music-synchronized ambient lighting, a Heaven & Earth tailgate and 3C fast charging. An exterior speaker is also available.

In terms of technology and safety, the SUV comes with Level 2 ADAS, wireless charging, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a heated and ventilated driver’s seat. It also features welcome sound, 18-inch alloy wheels and automatic high- and low-beam headlights.

The company has provided 35 storage spaces throughout the vehicle. Its exterior styling is highlighted by T-shaped LED headlights and distinctive triangular pixel-style tail lights.

The Vigo offers three driving modes — Eco, Standard and Sport — along with three steering modes: Calm, Standard and Comfort.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, Level 2 ADAS and its associated safety functions, a 360-degree camera, auto hold, hill hold assist, hill descent control and traction control.

With the new Rs 35.99 lakh introductory price, the Nammi Vigo E2 becomes one of the more competitively priced electric SUVs in Nepal’s sub-Rs 40 lakh segment.
