BYD Sealion 7 Launching in Nepal This Friday – Expected Price Around Rs. 75 Lakh

Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, has officially announced the sales launch of the all-new Sealion-07 EV starting this Friday, July 4.

First showcased at last year’s NADA Auto Show, the Sealion 7 is finally hitting the Nepali roads nearly 10 months later. Positioned in the premium electric SUV segment, it will go head-to-head with other top contenders like the Deepal S7, Zeekr X, and XPeng G6.

Built on BYD’s cutting-edge e-Platform 3.0 EVO and incorporating the brand’s advanced Cell-to-Body (CTB) battery integration technology, the Sealion 7 EV brings significant performance and tech upgrades. It is also equipped with BYD’s new DiSus-C Intelligent Damping Body Control System and adaptive suspension that intelligently adjusts to varying road conditions.

For safety and semi-autonomous driving features, the Sealion 7 includes the D-Pilot 100 (God’s Eye) advanced driver-assist suite. This includes 12 ultrasonic sensors, 5mm wave radars, and 11 omniview cameras—all working together to enhance visibility, safety, and driving precision.

Inside the cabin, the Sealion offers a truly premium experience. It features a 128-color ambient lighting system, ventilated seats with massage functions, a redesigned four-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, and a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment screen.

Additional premium features include:

  • Voice control assistant
  • Crystal gear selector
  • 220V power outlet (ideal for laptops)
  • NFC-enabled keyless entry
  • 12-speaker surround sound system
  • 50W wireless smartphone charger
  • 50-inch AR head-up display (HUD)
  • Electrochromic panoramic sunroof
  • High-grade Nappa leather seats

Dimension-wise, the Sealion 7 measures 4,830 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, with a generous 2,930 mm wheelbase. It is powered by a 71.8 kWh battery pack paired with a 100 kW rear-wheel-drive motor.

Thanks to the smaller motor configuration, pricing is expected to be competitive—around NPR 7.5 million. This makes the Sealion-07 a strong value proposition in Nepal’s growing EV SUV segment.
