Xpeng X9 Electric Luxury MPV Unveiled in Nepal – Expected Price?

CG Motors has officially introduced the Xpeng X9, a futuristic luxury electric MPV, to the Nepali market. Originally launched at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show, the Xpeng X9—marketed globally as the X9 Starship—is now making waves in Nepal with its ultra-modern tech, premium cabin, and electric powertrain.

Xpeng X9: A Futuristic Electric MPV

Built on Xpeng’s 800V electric architecture, the X9 supports 330kW DC fast charging, making it one of the most technologically advanced MPVs to enter the country. Its sleek and spacious design is supported by the following dimensions:

  • Length: 5293 mm
  • Width: 1988 mm
  • Height: 1785 mm

The electric MPV skips traditional LiDAR hardware and instead uses XPeng’s HAP (XNGP) Advanced Driver Assistance System—an innovative AI-driven solution offering intelligent autonomous support.

Luxury Meets Innovation

Designed with family and VIP travel in mind, the X9 can be configured as either a 6-seater or 7-seater. The first two rows of seats are adjustable in 14 different ways and feature:

  • Heated and Ventilated Functions
  • Zero-Gravity Design
  • 16-Point Massage System

Even the third-row seats come with heating, making it one of the few MPVs to offer full comfort across all rows.

Ride Quality & Suspension

XPeng integrates its proprietary “6D AI Anti-Motion Sickness” suspension system into the X9. It features:

  • Double Wishbone Suspension (Front)
  • Multilink Independent Suspension (Rear)
  • Dual-Chamber Air Spring System

This setup allows the vehicle height to be adjusted by up to 90mm, ensuring an ultra-smooth and adaptable ride.

In-Cabin Technology

The XPeng X9 is packed with high-tech comfort features, including:

  • 21.4-inch 3K Ceiling-Mounted Foldable Display for rear passengers
  • Panoramic Sunroof
  • Seat-Back Mounted Touch Control Panels

Every detail inside the cabin is designed for convenience, entertainment, and luxury travel.

Powertrain & Battery

The Nepal-bound XPeng X9 comes with a 235 kW Front-Wheel Drive Motor, powered by an 84.5 kWh LFP battery. According to XPeng, the X9 offers a WLTP-certified range of 480 km on a full charge.

XPeng X9 Expected Price in Nepal

While CG Motors has not officially announced the final retail price of the XPeng X9 in Nepal, preliminary customs data suggests the import cost alone exceeds USD 50,000.

Adding up applicable import duties:

  • 60% Customs Duty
  • 35% Excise Duty
  • 5% Road Development Tax
  • 13% VAT

The total landed cost is estimated to be around USD 125,000 (approx. NPR 1.66 crore), though this could vary slightly based on final dealer-level pricing and optional features.
