LS Auto has introduced two new electric vehicle models to the Nepali market. Nexon Ventures, the official distributor for LS Auto in Nepal, has imported these EVs ahead of the upcoming NAIMA Mobility Expo.
Introducing: LEV05 and LEV X
The two models—LEV05, a premium electric hatchback, and LEV X, an all-wheel-drive crossover SUV—will be officially showcased at the NAIMA Mobility Expo starting on Shrawan 21 (Aug 6).
The LEV05 is positioned as a premium hatchback and comes equipped with one of the largest battery packs in its segment—a 56 kWh battery paired with a 70 kW motor. According to the company, the LEV05 offers an impressive range of up to 400 kilometers, making it well-suited for Nepali road conditions.
On the other hand, the LEV X is an AWD version of the previously available LEV One. It features a 77 kWh battery pack and a powerful 198 kW motor, delivering a claimed range of up to 550 kilometers on a single charge.
What sets the LEV X apart is its segment-leading 210 mm ground clearance, making it capable of handling challenging terrains across Nepal. The updated cabin features also differentiate it from the earlier LEV One model, offering improved comfort and technology.
Market Positioning
LS Auto is strategically positioning the LEV05 as a direct competitor to popular models like the BYD Dolphin, based on its size, features, and performance. The vehicle’s modern design and long range are expected to attract urban drivers looking for a practical yet premium EV.
Both the LEV05 hatchback and the LEV X AWD SUV will make their public debut at the NAIMA Mobility Expo, where pricing and additional specifications are expected to be officially announced.
