Shangrila Motors Launches Multi-Brand ‘Cars Café’ Showroom Concept in Kathmandu

Shangrila Motors has officially launched a unique multi-brand showroom under the ‘Cars Café’ concept at the northern gate of the Narayanhiti Museum in Kathmandu.

This new facility showcases three globally renowned automobile brands — Citroën, Leapmotor, and Peugeot, all of which are part of the Stellantis Group. As part of Stellantis’ broader strategy to strengthen its footprint in South Asia, this marks the company’s second showroom in Nepal.

The showroom was inaugurated in the presence of Shailesh Chandra Hajela, CEO and Managing Director of Stellantis India, and Hemant Golchha, Managing Director of Shangrila Motors. The ceremonial opening was officiated by the French Ambassador to Nepal, Virginie Cortier-Val, highlighting the international significance of the launch.

Speaking at the event, Hajela emphasized the strategic importance of the Nepali market for Stellantis. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Shangrila Motors to bring world-class mobility solutions to Nepali customers. Through this new showroom, Stellantis reaffirms its commitment to introducing cutting-edge electric vehicles and globally trusted automotive technologies in Nepal,” he stated.

Shangrila Motors’ MD, Hemant Golchha, noted that the innovative showroom concept is designed to offer a premium and unified experience to car buyers in Nepal. “By bringing Citroën, Leapmotor, and Peugeot under one roof, we aim to become the go-to destination for premium mobility solutions in the country,” he said.

With this strategic initiative, Shangrila Motors and Stellantis are set to redefine the car-buying experience in Nepal through a fusion of innovation, technology, and customer-centric service.
