The highly anticipated MG Windsor EV is set to launch in Nepal on Wednesday, July 3 (Asar 18). Official distributor Paramount Motors will unveil the electric crossover SUV, adding a new contender to Nepal’s growing EV market.
The Windsor is the second electric vehicle produced by JSW MG in India, following the success of the Comet mini EV, which is already available in Nepal. In the local market, the Windsor EV is expected to compete directly with the BYD Dolphin, another popular electric hatchback in a similar segment.
Variants and Expected Price
The MG Windsor EV will be offered in two variants:
- Exclusive
- Essence
Earlier reports hinted at tentative pricing of NPR 39.49 lakh for the Exclusive variant and NPR 42.49 lakh for the Essence variant. However, it’s expected that the official launch price will be slightly lower.
Features and Technology
The MG Windsor EV is a compact utility vehicle (CUV) designed with a strong focus on comfort and modern features. Key highlights include:

- Automatic climate control (AC)
- Electrically adjustable front seats
- Power tailgate
- 6 airbags
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
- Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
- 360-degree surround view camera
The vehicle is powered by a 38 kWh LFP battery paired with a 100 kW electric motor delivering 200 Nm of peak torque. MG claims a single-charge range of up to 331 km, with real-world tests in Indian urban settings reaching around 327 km.
Design and Comfort
The Windsor EV boasts a futuristic design with flush door handles, sleek LED lighting, and a bold front fascia. It rides on stylish 18-inch alloy wheels, giving it a strong road presence.
The rear seat reclines up to 135 degrees, ensuring a comfortable ride for rear passengers. It also features a large panoramic glass roof for an open, airy cabin feel.
Inside, the tech-focused interior includes:
