The updated JAECOO 6T is set to launch in the Nepali market next week, bringing notable improvements over the existing JAECOO 6 EV. The model comes from Chery’s new energy sub-brand JAECOO and will be introduced by its official distributor, SPG Automobiles.

One of the key highlights of the new 6T is its increased ground clearance, now rated at 225 mm, up from 200 mm in the previous version. This upgrade directly addresses the growing preference among Nepali EV buyers for higher ground clearance, especially for varied road conditions.
In addition to the increased ride height, the 6T also features subtle cosmetic updates, most noticeably a redesigned front grille and a more rugged overall stance. The SUV measures 4,433 mm in length, 1,916 mm in width, and 1,741 mm in height, giving it a strong road presence.
Built as a lifestyle-oriented electric SUV, the JAECOO 6T is designed with off-road capability in mind. It offers an approach angle of 27 degrees and a departure angle of 31 degrees, making it suitable for rough terrain. The model also features multiple driving modes and an intelligent drive system, enhancing adaptability across different conditions.

Powering the SUV is the same 65.69 kWh battery pack paired with a 135 kW electric motor. Internationally, the model is also available in an all-wheel-drive configuration, further strengthening its off-road credentials.
On the design front, the 6T continues with its bold, boxy styling, complemented by 19-inch wheels, full LED lighting, and a rear-mounted external storage box that adds to its rugged appeal.
Inside, the cabin is equipped with a host of premium features including a 15.6-inch infotainment display, 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, ventilated and heated seats, dual-zone climate control, and wireless charging. It also offers a 12-speaker sound system and even a front passenger seat massage function in higher variants.
Safety features are equally comprehensive, with Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, vehicle stability control, front and rear parking sensors, and six airbags.
While the official price for Nepal has not yet been disclosed, it is expected to be positioned close to the current JAECOO 6 EV.

With improved ground clearance, enhanced features, and strong off-road capability, the JAECOO 6T is poised to become an attractive option in Nepal’s growing electric SUV segment.
