CG Motors, the official seller for GAC Aion EVs in Nepal, has brought its third EV model to the country. The company imported the ‘Aion ES’ model last month (around February/March 2025).
CG Motors already sells the Aion Y and Aion V EV models. Now, they have added the new Aion ES, which is an EV sedan.
Key Details of the Aion ES:
- Size: The car is 4810 mm long, 1880 mm wide, and 1545 mm high. It has a wheelbase of 2750 mm and can seat 5 people.
- Performance: It comes with a 100 kW motor and a 55.2 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery. According to the NEDC testing standard, it can travel up to 442 kilometers on a single full charge.
- Design & Features: The Aion ES has an attractive design with LED daytime running lights (DRLs), an LED high-mount stop lamp, and LED rear fog lamps. It features a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat and a 4-way manually adjustable front passenger seat. The car comes with 17-inch alloy wheels.
- Interior Tech: Inside, there is an 8-inch screen for infotainment and a 10-inch digital display for the driver (instrument cluster).
- Safety: For safety, it includes dual front airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), Hydraulic Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, Auto Hold function, and a rear parking camera with sensors. It also comes with a full-size spare tire.
Availability and Price:
Sources say the Aion ES EV has been tested on Nepali roads for about the past month, and sales are expected to begin soon.
CG Motors has not officially announced the price yet. However, it is estimated that the Aion ES will cost around 50 lakh NPR.
