The third day of the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 brought excitement for EV enthusiasts, with around 15 new four-wheeler models making their debut.
Prices of the newly launched EVs range from 29 lakh to nearly 1 crore, covering everything from budget-friendly city EVs to premium electric SUVs. The key six models launched include the BYD Atto-1, Leapmotor B10, Jaecoo J5, Farthing Friday, Mahindra BE.6, and XUV 9e.
Other notable models that went on sale at the auto show include the IM6, BYD Sealion 7, Mazda CX-60, and Volkswagen Virtus. With EVs dominating the floor, competition among dealers has become more intense than ever.
1. BYD Atto 1
The most affordable new EV at the expo, the BYD Atto 1 was launched by Cimex Inc. in two variants:
- Dynamic (Standard Range) – 30.08 kWh battery, 230 km NEDC-certified range – 29 lakh
- Premium (Long Range) – 38.88 kWh battery, 300 km NEDC-certified range – 32.95 lakh
2. Jaecoo J5
Distributed by SPG Automobiles, the Chinese brand Omoda/Jaecoo J5 has attracted attention for its Range Rover-inspired design.
- Single variant – 58.9 kWh battery, 155 kW motor, 400 km claimed range
- Regular price: 60.99 lakh, NAIMA Expo offer: 56.99 lakh
3. Leapmotor B10
Shangrila Motors launched the Leapmotor B10 SUV, gaining attention for its aggressive pricing.
- Two variants, both with 160 kW motors:
- Lower variant – 56.2 kWh LFP battery at 49.99 lakh
- Top variant – 67.1 kWh LFP battery, priced at 56.99 lakh
4. Farthing Friday
Laxmi e-Mobility debuted the Farthing Friday SUV in Nepal, praised for its size-to-price balance.
- 64.4 kWh battery, 99 kW motor
- Starting price: 48.96 lakh
- Top variant: 54.96 lakh (NAIMA Expo offer pricing)
5. Mahindra BE 6
Officially introduced by Agni Incorporated, the Mahindra BE 6 comes in three variants:
- Pack 1: 59 kWh battery, 99 kW motor – 57 lakh
- Pack 2: 60 lakh
- Pack 3: 67 lakh
6. Mahindra XEV 9e
A coupe-style electric SUV from Mahindra, available in three variants:
- Pack 1: 59 kWh battery, 99 kW motor – 67.5 lakh
- Pack 2: 75.5 lakh
- Pack 3: 79 kWh battery, 199 kW motor – 93 lakh
With this lineup, the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 clearly shows the country’s EV market moving toward broader variety from entry-level urban commuters to high-performance SUVs as competition heats up among global and Chinese automakers in Nepal.
