Nammi VIGO 06 Launches Today at NADA Auto Show 2025

Chinese automotive giant Dongfeng Group, known for collaborations with Japanese brands like Honda and Nissan as well as European brands such as Renault and Peugeot, has introduced its Nammi brand in Nepal. The company officially launched the Nammi VIGO 06 (Nammi-06) today at the NADA Auto Show 2025 in Kathmandu, alongside the start of nationwide bookings.

We got the chance to test the Nammi-06 across different parts of Kathmandu, and the experience was impressive. Despite its boxy, off-road SUV design, being fully electric makes it feel light and easy to maneuver, almost like driving a compact car.

Design & Exterior

From the front and rear bumpers to the wheel arches and body cladding, the Nammi-06 gives off a strong off-road vibe. The unique “Heaven & Earth” themed tailgate adds a touch of character, while T-shaped LED headlamps and triangular pixel tail-lights complete its distinctive look. The SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and comes with a panoramic sunroof for a premium touch.

Interior & Features

Inside, the cabin is modern, smart, and practical. Highlights include:

  • Welcome & memory seats
  • Music-synced ambient lighting
  • Heated & ventilated driver’s seat
  • 12.8-inch infotainment system and 8.8-inch digital cluster
  • Wireless charging (50W)
  • 36 storage spaces across the cabin
  • One-touch rear seat fold and the ability to convert the front seats into a bed
  • 500L boot space with a triple-layer design

Tech & Safety

The Nammi-06 is loaded with segment-first features such as:

  • ADAS Level 2 with adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and safety suite
  • 6 airbags
  • 360-degree high-resolution camera
  • Auto-hold, hill-hold, hill descent control & traction control
  • Voice command for both car and mobile functions
  • Automatic high/low beam headlamps for night driving convenience

Performance & Battery Options

The SUV is powered by a 99 kW motor, offering smooth handling and sufficient power for Nepal’s varied road conditions. Driving feels light and effortless, making it versatile for both city and highway use.

It comes with two battery options:

  • 44.94 kWh battery – Range up to 300 km (WLTP)
  • 51.87 kWh battery – Range up to 350 km (WLTP)

The Nammi-06 supports DC fast charging up to 167 kW, making recharging quick and convenient. It also features 3 driving modes (Eco, Standard, Sport) and 3 steering modes (Calm, Standard, Comfort).

Verdict
