Chinese automaker Dongfeng’s Nammi brand has officially launched its first SUV in Nepal, the Nammi Vigo (previously known as Nammi-06), through its authorized distributor MAW Group.
Unveiled at the NADA Auto Show 2025 in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, the Nammi Vigo has quickly become one of the event’s main highlights thanks to its aggressive pricing. The SUV is available in two variants: the E2, priced at Rs 37.99 lakh, and the E2 Plus, priced at Rs 40.99 lakh, with bookings now open.
Last year, Nammi gained attention at the Auto Show with the launch of the Nammi-01 hatchback, which set booking records. This year, the brand aims to capture even more interest with its first SUV, using a competitive pricing strategy to appeal to Nepali buyers.
The Nammi Vigo is powered by a 99 kW motor, paired with 44.9 kWh and 51.87 kWh LFP battery options. The top variant delivers a certified range of up to 350 km (NEDC).
In terms of size, the SUV measures 4,306 mm in length, 1,868 mm in width, and 1,645 mm in height, with a 2,715 mm wheelbase that ensures comfort for passengers. Despite its SUV proportions, its dimensions allow it to fit easily into most household parking spaces.
Design highlights include T-shaped LED headlamps, a split tailgate, a 12.8-inch infotainment display, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and heated and ventilated seats. The SUV also comes with ADAS features, a panoramic vision roof, foldable seats, 128-color ambient lighting, a modern two-spoke steering wheel, leather seats, and a minimalist cabin design.
With MAW Vriddhi introducing the Nammi Vigo at such an attractive price point, it is being seen as the start of a new price war in Nepal’s EV market, bringing competitive electric SUVs within reach of more buyers.
