The Ora 5 electric SUV is set to arrive with a design that stands out from the SUVs currently available in the market.
Positioned in the compact SUV segment, the Ora 5 is expected to offer competitive pricing, making it an attractive option for buyers. It is believed that the model will introduce a fresh design language and new driving experience for Nepali consumers under Great Wall Motors’ new energy brand, Ora.
The vehicle will be officially launched in Nepal within March by VG Impex Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Great Wall Motors in Nepal. The brand already sells the Ora 3 in the market, which is a hatchback, while the new Ora 5 will enter the SUV category.

Currently, the compact electric SUV segment in Nepal includes models such as the BYD Atto 2, BYD Atto 3, MG S5, Omoda E5, Leapmotor B10, Deepal S05, Hyundai Creta EV, Mahindra BE.6, and Tata Curvv EV. Compared to these models, the Ora 5 is expected to come at a more affordable price point.
When discussing electric vehicles, buyers often focus on battery capacity, driving range, and motor power, as government taxes are largely based on motor output.
The Ora 5 is equipped with a 58.3 kWh LFP battery pack produced by SVOLT. Based on initial estimates, the battery could deliver around 430 kilometers of real-world driving range on Nepali roads. The SUV will be powered by a 99 kW electric motor.
Compared to the Ora 3 hatchback currently available in Nepal, the Ora 5 is expected to offer a much more premium cabin experience. The SUV comes with Great Wall’s Coffee infotainment system, designed to provide advanced connectivity and entertainment features.
The premium interior includes a two-spoke steering wheel, panoramic glass roof, multi-color ambient lighting, and wireless charging. The company also claims that the seats are designed for enhanced comfort, providing a premium travel experience.
In terms of dimensions, the Ora 5 measures 4,471 mm in length, 1,883 mm in width, and 1,641 mm in height, with a 2,720 mm wheelbase, offering a spacious and comfortable ride.
The SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, features circular headlights at the front, and LED tail lights at the rear. It also includes a roof-mounted LiDAR system.
The distinctive body design, which differs from conventional SUVs, along with a rear styling inspired by the Ora 3, is expected to attract significant attention. The vehicle also features stylish alloy wheels, conventional door handles, and a smart rear spoiler, giving it a modern and premium look.
