Deepal Set to Launch New, More Affordable SUV in Nepal

The Deepal brand, under the Changan Group, continues its aggressive push into the Nepali market with a new SUV that promises to be even more budget-friendly than its predecessors. Following the successful launch of the S-07 and the recently introduced S-05, Deepal is preparing to bring its third model to the market.

The Deepal S-05, which has quickly captivated consumers since its debut at the NADA Auto Show 2025, has been a major hit. Imported from Thailand, the S-05 starts at an attractive price point of Rs 48,99,000, drawing significant attention for its luxury features, modern cabin, and appealing design.

Now, MAW Vriddhi, the official distributor, has confirmed plans to introduce an SUV priced lower than both the S-07 and S-05. This new model, known as the Nevo Q-05 in China, will be launched under the Deepal brand in Nepal, although its final Nepali market name is yet to be announced.

According to the official distributor, the new SUV is slated to arrive in Nepal by the first quarter of 2026. Company sources indicate that testing of the new vehicle is expected to commence within the next six months.

To ensure an appealing price point, the company will offer the SUV with two battery options: 40.3 kWh and 51.9 kWh. The expected maximum range is around 350 km, though the CLTC rating specifies a range of 405 km and 506 km, respectively.

While the Q-05 is equipped with a 120 kW motor in the international market, the Nepali version will feature a motor with a peak power of less than 100 kW. This modification is primarily due to government tax regulations.

The Q-05 is a compact SUV boasting attractive looks and follows Changan’s ‘Digital Wing 2.0’ design language. Its dimensions are:

  • Length: 4435 mm
  • Width: 1855 mm
  • Height: 1600 mm
  • Wheelbase: 2735 mm

Key features include attractive headlamps, a LiDAR sensor on the roof, a single taillight unit, and numerous other modern amenities, positioning it as a highly anticipated entry into Nepal’s burgeoning electric SUV segment.
