Deepal S05 Launched in Nepal – Prices Start at NPR 48.99 Lakhs

Deepal, the luxury-focused electric vehicle brand under Changan, has officially launched its all-new luxury crossover SUV, the Deepal S05, in Nepal. The launch event was hosted by MAW Vriddhi, the official distributor of Changan vehicles in the country, on Thursday.

The Deepal S05 enters the Nepali market in two variantsS05 Plus and S05 Max – with introductory prices set at:

  • S05 Plus: NPR 48,99,000
  • S05 Max: NPR 54,99,000

Winner of the prestigious iF Design Award, the Deepal S05 sports a bold aerodynamic silhouette, frameless doors, and distinctive LED tail lights inspired by the “Star Feeder” design.

Inside, the S05 offers a premium and luxurious cabin equipped with segment-leading comfort features such as:

  • Zero Gravity Comfort Seats with ventilation, leg support, memory function, and one-touch “Nap Mode”
  • Queen Co-pilot seat for ultimate passenger relaxation
  • Welcoming function for both front seats
  • 160-litre frunk for additional storage
  • 14-speaker surround sound system with outdoor mode
  • High-quality refined interior craftsmanship

The Deepal S05 is powered by a 99 kW electric motor producing 320 Nm of torque. It uses a 56.1 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a WLTP-certified range of up to 470 km on a single charge.

This battery is part of CATL’s Golden Shield Battery System 2.0, known for its over 600,000 km lifespan and 3C fast-charging capability, supporting up to 150 kW DC charging.

The S05 stands out with several segment-first features, including:

  • Remote In & Out Parking for easy maneuvering in tight spaces
  • Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) 2.0 with 19 safety features
  • 6 airbags for maximum protection
  • Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Traction Control
  • 5 HD cameras, 5 mm-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors for enhanced situational awareness
  • Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR-HUD) that projects navigation, traffic signals, speed, and key driving data directly onto the windshield

With the S05, Deepal aims to strengthen its position in Nepal’s growing EV market, building on the success of the larger Deepal S07. The new model combines luxury, technology, and efficiency in a compact crossover format that is expected to appeal to premium EV buyers.
