Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of BYD in Nepal, is set to showcase the much-awaited Atto 2 at the NADA Auto Show 2025 starting tomorrow. Just a few days ago, the company launched the Atto 1 hatchback during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo, and now all eyes are on the compact SUV.
The BYD Atto 2 is considered one of the most anticipated electric SUVs in Nepal. Positioned in the compact SUV segment, it will compete directly with models like the TATA Nexon EV, NAMMI 6 and even MG S5.
In the Chinese market, the Atto 2 comes with 32 kWh and 45.12 kWh battery pack options, but for Nepal, it will be available exclusively with a larger 51.3 kWh LFP battery pack even bigger than the Atto 3 Advanced variant. This setup delivers an impressive 340 km range (WLTP tested) on a single charge.
Powering the SUV is a 100 kW front-wheel-drive motor. Key features include 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch rotating infotainment display, 50W wireless charger, and six airbags for enhanced safety.
Dimension-wise, the Atto 2 measures 4290 mm in length, 1770 mm in width, and 1570 mm in height, with a 2620 mm wheelbase.
While Cimex has not yet announced the official price, industry insiders suggest that the BYD Atto 2 will likely be priced in the range of NPR 45 to 48 lakh.
