BYD ATTO 2 Launched in Nepal at Rs 43.99 Lakh

BYD has officially launched the Atto 2, its latest compact electric SUV, in Nepal at a starting price of Rs 43.99 lakh. The new model sits strategically between the BYD Dolphin and the Atto 3 in the company’s growing EV lineup, targeting urban families seeking a balance of performance, efficiency, and practicality.

The BYD Atto 2 is powered by a 100 kW electric motor generating 290 Nm of torque, paired with a 51.13 kWh Blade Battery. On a full charge, it offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 345 km, making it suitable for both daily commutes and longer weekend drives. The SUV also supports 65 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 30–80% charge in just 28 minutes.

Measuring 4,310 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, and 1,675 mm tall, the Atto 2 is slightly more compact than the Atto 3, yet still delivers generous cabin and luggage space. With 200 mm ground clearance and up to 1,430 liters of cargo capacity (with rear seats folded), the SUV is well-prepared for diverse Nepali road conditions.

The Atto 2 features BYD’s distinctive Dragon Face design language, sporty curves, and sharp LED lighting. Inside, the cabin comes with eco-friendly vegan leather seats, a rotatable touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging.

Built on BYD’s advanced e-Platform 3.0, the Atto 2 is the brand’s first compact SUV to feature Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology, which integrates the Blade Battery into the vehicle structure. This improves structural rigidity, safety, and stability.

For occupant protection, the SUV comes standard with six airbags, an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), and BYD’s electronic safety features.

The launch of the Atto 2 at the NADA Auto Show 2025 underscores BYD’s strong push in Nepal’s fast-growing EV market. Positioned between the Dolphin and Atto 3, the model strengthens BYD’s compact SUV portfolio while addressing the rising demand for affordable yet feature-rich electric vehicles in the country.
