BYD Atto 2 Coming to Nepal

With more than half a dozen electric cars expected to enter the Nepali market in March, BYD’s official distributor, Cimex Inc., is also set to launch a new model. The company has announced that it will bring the Atto 2, which is already being sold in Europe.

A company representative said, “We have started preparations to launch the Atto 2 in Nepal. We will share more details soon.”

Currently, BYD’s lineup includes models like Atto 3, M6, Dolphin, and Seal. However, with growing competition in the SUV segment, BYD has decided to introduce the Atto 2 in Nepal.

  • A demo vehicle is expected to arrive by the end of March.
  • BYD might start sales before the upcoming budget announcement.

The Atto 2 is a smaller version of BYD’s popular compact SUV, the Atto 3. In China, it is known as “Yuan Up” and is sold in four variants. In Europe, it is available in two variants – Active and Boost.

This SUV is built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0, featuring a high bonnet line and plastic trim on the lower body.
