Yatri Motorcycles has officially announced the price of the Yatri P2, its locally developed and manufactured electric scooter. The entry-level P2 with a 3 kWh battery is priced at NPR 329,900 in Nepal.
The P2 is available with three battery options. The 3.7 kWh variant costs NPR 399,900, while the top-spec 5.2 kWh variant is priced at NPR 499,900.
Yatri had unveiled the P2 and opened bookings during the NADA Auto Show held last month. According to the company, customers who booked the scooter during the auto show will receive the 3.7 kWh and 5.2 kWh variants between mid-October and November. All three variants are expected to be available from December.
Designed and Made in Nepal
The Yatri P2 has been developed specifically with Nepal’s diverse road conditions and geography in mind. Its design, research and development, and manufacturing are all carried out in Nepal, making it one of the country’s notable locally developed electric two-wheelers.
The scooter is powered by a 10 kW electric motor, which Yatri says is among the largest motor outputs available in the electric scooter segment in Nepal.
The P2 comes with three battery options:
- 3.0 kWh
- 3.7 kWh
- 5.2 kWh
Up to 157 km Claimed Range
Range varies depending on the battery configuration. The 5.2 kWh version has a claimed range of 157 km on a single charge, while the 3.7 kWh and 3.0 kWh versions are claimed to deliver 112 km and 90 km, respectively.
Yatri will also offer a 1.8 kWh range extender battery pack. According to the company, the range extender can add up to another 50 km of range to the scooter.
DC Fast Charging
One of the key features of the Yatri P2 is its fast-charging capability. Yatri says the scooter is the first in its segment to feature DC fast charging.
With a 3.3 kW fast charger, the P2 can charge from the required state to 80 percent in around 41 minutes, according to the company.
The scooter can also be charged using a home charger, reaching 80 percent charge in approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes. This is considerably quicker than the typical 4–7-hour charging time found on many conventional electric scooters.
7-inch TFT Display With Smartphone Connectivity
The Yatri P2 gets a 7-inch TFT display with support for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The display provides information such as real-time energy consumption, while the scooter also features a smart battery management system. Yatri says its battery management system has been certified by India’s Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
Long Wheelbase and 14-inch Alloy Wheels
The P2 features a 1,390 mm wheelbase, designed to provide greater stability at higher speeds and on uneven roads. The longer wheelbase also provides more legroom for the rider.
The scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels and offers 175 mm of ground clearance, which should be useful for navigating uneven and poorly surfaced roads commonly found across Nepal.

Yatri is offering an 8-year or 80,000 km warranty on the P2’s battery, providing long-term coverage for one of the most important components of the electric scooter.
With its locally developed platform, 10 kW motor, multiple battery options, fast charging, smartphone connectivity and customizable configuration, the Yatri P2 is positioned as a technology-focused electric scooter developed specifically for the Nepali market.
