Tata Tiago EV Facelift Unveiled With 6 Airbags and 360-Degree Camera

Tata Motors has officially unveiled the facelift version of its popular electric hatchback, the Tiago EV, in the Indian market. The updated model is available in four variants with a starting price of INR 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new Tiago EV comes with several upgrades including refreshed styling, redesigned dual-tone interiors, additional features, and enhanced safety technologies.

On the exterior, the facelift gets sleek LED headlamps, new LED DRLs, and a redesigned front fascia with a closed body-colored grille. Tata has also revised the bumper design with new faux air vents and added new 15-inch wheels with contrasting wheel arch cladding.

At the rear, the Tiago EV now features connected LED tail lamps and a redesigned bumper. Other exterior highlights include a dual-tone black roof, shark-fin antenna, and chrome-finished door handles.

Inside the cabin, Tata has introduced a newly designed dual-tone dashboard. The hatchback now comes equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and IRA.ev connected car technology with over 40 connected features.

Additional features include passive entry and start, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, extended thigh support seats, fabric-touch armrests, cooled glovebox, 65W Type-C charging ports, electrically adjustable and auto-folding ORVMs, cruise control, and a four-speaker surround sound system.

In terms of safety, the facelifted Tiago EV now offers six airbags, a 360-degree HD surround-view camera, blind-view monitor, electronic stability program with traction control, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, hill-hold assist, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, and rear defogger. Tata has also provided IP67-rated protection for both the motor and battery pack.

The facelift continues with the existing battery options. Buyers can choose between a 19kWh and a 24kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of 160 km and 205 km respectively. Tata offers a 45kW motor with the smaller battery and a 55kW motor with the larger battery pack.

The new Tiago EV supports 30kW DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 35 minutes.

Following its launch in India, the Tiago EV facelift is expected to arrive in the Nepali market soon.
