BYD Increases Prices of Atto 2 and Sealion 7 in Nepal – Here’s the New Pricing

Kathmandu, Nepal – BYD has officially increased the prices of two of its electric vehicle models in the Nepali market. The price revision has been implemented by Cimex Inc, the authorized distributor of BYD in Nepal, effective immediately.

BYD Atto 2 – New Price

The price of the BYD Atto 2 has been increased by Rs 1,01,000.

  • Previous Price: Rs 43,99,000
  • New Price: Rs 45,00,000

The Atto 2 has been one of BYD’s best-selling models in Nepal, attracting buyers with its practical size, competitive range, and feature-loaded package. However, with the revised pricing, its value positioning in the segment may face new competition.

BYD Sealion 7 – New Price

Similarly, the BYD Sealion 7 has received a significant price hike of Rs 3,01,000.

  • Previous Price: Rs 74,99,000
  • New Price: Rs 78,00,000

The Sealion 7 sits in the premium electric SUV category and has been appreciated for its modern design, performance, and advanced tech features.

According to the distributor, the price adjustment coincides with the arrival of the new 2026 model year updates.

With the revised pricing, both models now face stronger competition in their respective segments.

At Rs 45 lakh, buyers may now consider alternatives such as:

  • Proton eMas 7 Prime – Offers strong value, competitive features, and attractive pricing in the bigger size EV.
  • MG S5 – Positioned as a feature-rich electric SUV with competitive pricing that could now make it a better deal compared to the Atto 2.

With the Sealion 7 now priced at Rs 78 lakh, buyers in the premium EV segment may also look at:

  • MG IM6 – A performance-oriented electric SUV with premium features.
  • Xpeng G6 – A tech-focused electric SUV offering strong performance, advanced driver assistance systems, and competitive global positioning.

While BYD continues to remain one of the strongest EV brands in Nepal, the new pricing slightly shifts the value equation. With rising competition from brands like Proton, MG, and Xpeng, buyers now have more compelling options in both the mid-size and premium electric SUV segments.

For customers considering an EV purchase, this may be the right time to closely compare features, range, after-sales support, and resale value before making a final decision.
