Agni Incorporated Pvt. Ltd. has officially launched the all-electric Mahindra XEV 9e SUV in Nepal. The vehicle made its debut today at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025, marking the beginning of its sales in the country.
Mahindra has introduced three variants of the XEV 9e:
- Pack 1 (Base variant): NPR 67.50 lakh
- Pack 2: NPR 75.50 lakh
- Pack 3 (Top variant): NPR 93 lakh
The SUV had already arrived in Nepal months ago for internal testing, and it’s also been receiving positive feedback in the Indian market. Mahindra is now launching the XEV 9e not only in India, but also in Nepal, South Africa, and Australia — signaling its global aspirations.
Strong Specs to Challenge Chinese EVs
As Nepal’s EV market sees rapid growth, Mahindra’s entry at this price point places the XEV 9e in direct competition with Chinese electric SUVs. Whether it can match or surpass its Chinese rivals remains to be seen, but it certainly brings a powerful feature set and strong brand presence.
The XEV 9e comes with two battery options:
- 59 kWh battery offering up to 400 km range
- 79 kWh battery offering over 550 km range
It supports DC fast charging up to 175 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes, according to Mahindra.

The dashboard features a triple-screen layout — three 12.3-inch displays connected seamlessly for an ultra-modern cockpit experience. It also includes:
- 16-speaker 1400W Harman Kardon sound system
- Welcome and memory seats
- Boss mode front passenger seat
- Wireless charger
- LED-lit panoramic glass roof
Designed for Real Roads
Mahindra has long been known for building rugged vehicles suited for tough terrain, and the XEV 9e follows that legacy with:
- Independent semi-active damper suspension
- High ground clearance of 207 mm
- 19-inch wheels
Thanks to this setup, the SUV promises solid performance on both paved roads and rough trails.
