Get ready for the biggest automobile event of the year! The NAIMA Mobility Expo is set to kick off from Shrawan 21 (August 5) at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, and it promises to bring an exciting lineup of brand-new models to the Nepali market.
With around 50 stalls confirmed, the event will see significant participation from major four-wheeler brands. According to official updates so far, more than a dozen new models will be unveiled during the expo.
Confirmed Launches and Premieres
- Omoda/Jaecoo: SPG Automobiles will launch two all-new SUVs—Jaecoo J5 and Jaecoo V23. These will make their debut in Nepal at the expo.
- MG & IM Motors: Paramount Motors will introduce the IM-S6, a new model under the IM Motors brand, which will be sold through MG showrooms in Nepal. They are also expected to showcase a new Mazda SUV, though details are still under wraps.
- Farthing by Laxmi Premium: The company will officially launch a new brand Farthing, with the Farthing Friday model making its debut at the expo. It will be interesting to see what Hyundai (also under Laxmi Group) brings to the table.
- BYD: Official distributor Cimex Inc. will start sales of the much-awaited BYD Sealion 7 at the event. This new model is currently available for blind booking and will make its official Nepal debut at the expo.
- Mahindra: Agni Group is all set to launch two new electric SUVs—BE.06 and XUV.e9. Both vehicles are currently undergoing road tests in Nepal and have completed nearly 10,000 km of trials before their market launch.
- Leapmotor by Shangrila Motors: The company will showcase the newly launched Leapmotor C10 SUV, which recently made its debut in Europe. It is expected to be priced lower than the previously introduced C10.
- Kia: Continental Trading is preparing to showcase the new Kia EV5. A single unit has already arrived at the customs office and will be revealed at the expo.
- Volkswagen: Pooja International Nepal is expected to unveil the Volkswagen Virtus, a premium sedan currently available in the Indian market.
- Proton: Jagdamba Motors is working to bring the Proton eMas5, an electric hatchback, to the expo. If ready in time, it will make its premiere at the event.
- LEV Brand by Nexon Ventures: Nexon Ventures will begin sales of the LEV-05 electric hatchback at the event. They will also introduce the LEV-X, an all-wheel-drive variant of the LEV-01.
