Mahindra’s two popular electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, are set to arrive in Nepal. Agni Incorporated Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Mahindra, plans to bring demo units of both vehicles by the first week of Jestha. Currently, the specifications for the international market are finalized, and testing is underway in India.
Both models are expected to be available for sale before the Nepal Mobility Expo 2025, which NAIMA will organize in Kathmandu from Shrawan 21st. Mahindra currently sells the XUV400 EV in Nepal. With the addition of the BE 6 and XEV 9e, the company will offer three electric vehicle models.
The Mahindra BE 6 is designed with a futuristic look and features like blind spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera, ADAS Level-2, HUD display, built-in maps, and Android Auto. It will come with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery options, with a claimed range of up to 682 km.
The Mahindra XEV 9e shares similar features with the BE 6 but is larger in size and has a coupe design. Its dashboard features three 12.3-inch screens. It includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, 24 GB RAM, and 128 GB storage for the infotainment system. It also offers features like flush door handles, 19 and 20-inch wheel options, and a panoramic sunroof. The XEV 9e will also have 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery options and supports 175 kW DC fast charging.
The estimated price range for these two SUVs in Nepal is between NPR 60 lakhs and NPR 90 lakhs, considering their price range of approximately INR 19 lakhs to INR 30.5 lakhs in India.
